Announcing NCWH Healthy Lifestyle and Weight Loss Management Program
“How to be Happy in Your Own Skin”

As providers of healthcare and promoters of “wellness,” we are passionate about assisting our patients to obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to live their best lives. Obesity is a chronic condition and affects over 40% of the U.S. population. Increased weight contributes to many other health conditions including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, hypertension and many others. In addition, many women are affected by hormonal changes that contribute to challenges with weight management including PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and Perimenopausal changes. Substance abuse, stress, illness, and lack of adequate sleep also contribute to this problem.

But the good news is, more knowledge is available currently then ever before! Understanding your metabolism and individual nutritional needs, along with appropriate exercise and lifestyle interventions can assist an individual in achieving their healthy weight goals.

There are also new medications currently available and approved by the FDA for assisting certain individuals in weight loss. GLP-1 agonists have been shown to be well-tolerated by most and they are often highly effective.

Our comprehensive program provides a thorough intake and examination along with laboratory assessment. You will be educated by our Nurse Practitioner, Aileen Slivkoff. Not only has she been with NCWH for 15 years, she is trained in functional nutrition, obesity medicine, and is a Level 1 CrossFit coach.

A personalized food plan will be created incorporating appropriate calorie and macros recommendations. Detailed exercise options will be reviewed, and weekly goals will be set. Opportunities to address other healthcare issues including hormonal variations will be provided. All progress will be monitored using a fitness app.

We are extremely excited to partner with you on your journey to wellness! To obtain more information and schedule an appointment, please call (949) 706-0181
